Kirsty Robinson has experience in cases involving children covering both public and private law matters. Miss Robinson routinely represents parents in contact and residence disputes where there are allegations of abuse to the child and where the matter has become intractable.
Within public law cases she appears at preliminary, causation and final hearings in all levels of the Family Court, including High Court. Many of these cases include those where there have been allegations of non-accidental injury and sexual abuse. She also has experience in domestic violence issues particularly injunctions under the Family Law Act 1996 and associated hearings.
She has experience of acting for parents with learning difficulties, including acting through the Official Solicitor for parents who have lacked the capacity to instruct. This has resulted in an interest in Court of Protection work.
